Our Skiffs

From the first day that we took over The Pelican, we knew we wanted to do things that would set us apart.  A major part of that was having the best skiffs available for our guests. After two years of trial and error ( mostly error), we teamed up with Hussein Zayed of ZCB Boats and designed, what we believe, is the perfect skiff for fishing the Chandeleur Islands. The combination of stability, shallow draft, speed and ability to be poled onto the shallow flats makes an ideal fishing platform for sight fishing and drifting the endless grass beds. The skiffs also feature forward seating on a cushioned Yeti 35 qt ice chest, electric start, and more importantly, electric tilt/trim.
