Packing List
To make the most of your Chandeleur Islands fishing trip, please make sure to bring the following items with you!
If you’re age 16 or older, you must have a Basic Fishing License to fish recreationally in Louisiana waters. If you’re fishing south of the saltwater line*, you must also have a Saltwater License.
- Lousiana Fishing License
- Rods - 10-20lb test line
- Reels - Casting or Spinning
- Jig Heads - 1/8 and 1/4 ounce
- Waders/Wade fishing gear
- Soft side and duffle bags ONLY
- Cooler - for all your Fish
- Handheld GPS
- Corks - Popping or Rattling
- Hats, Sunglasses, Sunscreen
- Camera
- Spoons, Topwater Lures, Plastics
Do NOT Bring
- Hard sided or roller luggage
- Ice OR any coolers (we have plenty. Leave them in your vehicle for your bagged fish filets.)
- Shampoo and body wash (we provide these)
- Glass bottles
- Water
